Carbon monitoring is an important part of China’s “14th Five-Year Plan” for the ecological and environmental monitoring system, and is also a crucial technological direction supporting the realization of China’s “dual carbon” goals. With the maturation of carbon monitoring technology, the technology for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide emissions from fixed emission sources is gradually becoming ready for widespread use. This paper summarizes the development and application status of carbon dioxide continuous emission monitoring technology at home and abroad. Combined with the current relevant policy requirements and standard release conditions in China, this paper analyses the problems existing in the continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide emissions in China, and proposes relevant suggestions for strengthening corporate carbon monitoring management.
